Nature, Caribbean Coast and the Beautiful Island of Roatan

Day 1 Transfer from San Pedro Sula to Tela. En route we visit the Lancetilla Botanical Garden. The garden possesses an impressive collection of trees and plants from all over the world. We then proceed to our hotel located right on the beach. Typical dinner and overnight in Tela/Tornabé.

Day 2 Early in the morning we leave by boat to explore the rock formations of the Punta Sal National Park. Visiting sheltered bays well hidden among the rocks, we'll enjoy a tropical lunch and the exuberance of the woodlands. We can also swim and snorkel experiencing the marine life of the world's second largest coral reef, located very close to the shore at Punta Sal. Free time to relax on the white, sandy beach in front of your hotel. Overnight in Tela/Tornabé.

Day 3 Drive through to La Ceiba. After settled in we will take a walk through the Cangrejal River Valley observing the exuberant flora of its surroundings. Take a plunge and cool off in one of the river's natural swimming pools. In the evening we enjoy some of the Honduran's best nightlife, or rest up for tomorrow. Overnight in La Ceiba.

Day 4 In the village of Sambo Creek we will have an encounter with the Garifunas of the Atlantic coast. Well traveled visitors will notice a number of similarities between the Garifunas and traditional west African societies. Enjoy a meal prepared by the inhabitants, or a dip in the blue waters. Return to La Ceiba on time to catch our ferryboat to the island of Roatan. The Hotel staff awaits to bring you to the cabins situated just a couple of meter from Westbay Beach. Overnight in Roatan.

Day 5 West Bay of Roatan is pure Caribbean. Enjoy a day of sun and fun on the beach, engaging in various activities. Your hotel is located on one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, just footsteps from the fringe reef. The white, sandy beach invites you to relax or to snorkel in the blue, crystalline waters. Overnight in Roatán.

Day 6 Full day of leisure. Enjoy your last day on this beautiful Caribbean Island under a palm tree where soothing ocean breezes caress your skin. If your looking for activities try a horseback riding, hike around the many nature trails or rent a trip on the bottom-glass boat. Overnight in Roatán.

Day 7 Morning flight from Roatán San Pedro Sula on time to connect your international departure.  

End of program or extension of your stay with another of our itineraries.  

Remarks: The tour to the Patuca River has the character of an expedition. Good physical condition is recommended. We provide all equipment. In case of an emergency there is a helicopter on order by radio. The places we visit are basic, one shares the lifestyle of the local people and experiences daily life in the rain forest.
