Sun and Beach Day 1 Meet with your guide at the Hotel in San Pedro Sula. Transfer to La Ceiba. The Caribbean coast of Honduras is one of the richest regions in popular culture, contemporary history and tropical ecological diversity. It is the region that possess the greatest agricultural and industrial development. City tour in La Ceiba and transfer to a near palm covered beach. Overnight in La Ceiba. Day
2 Rising
early leave La Ceiba for the village of La Union, where the vehicle is
replaced by a Railway Hand Cart. Local villagers use long poles to push
the train along the tracks to the isolated
Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge. Explore
the mangroves by boat to see numerous waterfowl, monkeys and, if you are
lucky, the endangered manatee. Lunch will be at the small traditional
community of Salado, nestled between river and sea, before returning to
La Ceiba. Leisure time to enjoy the rich, tropical atmosphere in one of
the merriest towns in the country. Overnight in La Ceiba. Day
3 Early in the morning we take a walk through the Cangrejal River
Valley observing the exuberant flora of its surroundings. Take a plunge
and cool off in one of the river's natural swimming pools. In the
afternoon return to San Pedro Sula. End
of the program or extension of your stay with another of our
itineraries. Services
